Keith Pitman: About the Artist

I have spent over 35 years in a business career while pursuing a lifelong interest in photography. I have studied with a number of nationally recognized photographers in workshop settings and recently I earned a certificate in photography from Rockport College. I have exhibited in galleries and shows in Colorado, Pennsylvania and Maine. Currently, I am represented by Photographers’ Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

While I have a preference for large format, I work with small, medium, and large format cameras. The large format camera must be used on a tripod, set up carefully, and results in a deliberative and contemplative approach to work.

I work primarily in black and white. All of my black and white images are archivally processed and all of my work is archivally mounted.

My current interests include landscapes, old and weathered buildings, and found abstractions.
